O’ahu’s 14-day average is 88 new cases with a positivity rate of 3.2% which keeps Honolulu in Tier 2 of the city’s reopening plan.

In order to move to Tier 3 case counts on O’ahu need to stay under a seven day average of less than 50 cases.

With a positivity rate between 1 to 2.49% if numbers continue to rise the plan could be pushed back to a more restrictive Tier 1.

“Let’s not move into Tier 1, but move into Tier 3. That’s going to be hard to do. In the short term, but it is possible to do it. We were getting there about a week or so ago. Let’s get back on track, bring our numbers down. Let’s the day before Thanksgiving move into Tier 3 where ten of us can gather around the table or sit in a living room with our most loved folks,” Mayor Caldwell said.
