Road Work for the Week, Nov. 21-24

SCHEDULE OF LANE CLOSURES (Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.)

No road work will be done on Thanksgiving Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26.

— H-1 FREEWAY —

PEARL CITY
9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday: Two right lanes closed in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) for sign structure work.

8 p.m.-4 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday morning: Up to three lanes closed in both directions between the Kamehameha Highway Overpass and the Waiawa Road Overpass for the rail project. The number of lanes closed will vary depending on the location of the roadwork.

PEARL HARBOR
8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Right lane closure of the Arizona Memorial/Stadium Off-Ramp (Exit 15A) of the freeway to Kamehameha Highway in the westbound direction for the rail project.

8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Alternating lane closure on the Nimitz Highway On-Ramp to the freeway in the eastbound direction for the rail project.

SALT LAKE TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Now through 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday: Lanes closed in both directions between the Keehi Interchange and the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Off-Ramp (Exit 15) for deck inspection. Ramps will remain open.

WAIPAHU
9 p.m.-4 a.m. Sunday through Thursday morning: Closure of the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) from the freeway in the westbound direction for the rail project.

— H-3 FREEWAY —

KANEOHE
8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Lane closure in both directions between the Mokapu Saddle Road Underpass and the Kamehameha Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 11) for median maintenance.

KANEOHE TO HALAWA 
7 p.m.-7 a.m. Saturday through Sunday morning: Closure in the Honolulu-bound direction between the Likelike Highway Underpass and the Halawa Interchange for routine tunnel cleaning and maintenance.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

PEARL CITY
8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday morning: Two lanes closed in the westbound direction between Waiawa Road and the Kamehameha Highway Overpass for the rail project.

8 p.m.-10 a.m. Saturday through Sunday morning: Closure of the Waipahu Off-Ramp in the westbound direction for the rail project.

WAIPAHU
9 p.m.-4 a.m. Sunday through Thursday morning: Closure of the eastbound on-ramp to the H-1 Freeway for the rail project.

7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Single outside lanes along the highway closed at various locations for utility relocation work for the rail project.

Old Fort Weaver Road to Leoku Street

  • 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Inside lanes of the highway will be closed. Left turns from the highway eastbound to Fort Weaver Road will be closed.

Leoku Street to Leokane Street

  • 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Inside lanes of the highway closed, as well as Saturday, as needed.
  • 7 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday through Wednesday: Closed eastbound lanes at Leoku will be crossed over to the westbound side of the highway.
  • Left turns from the highway westbound at Leoku will be closed 24/7.

Aniani Place to Waipahu Depot Street

  • 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Inside lanes of the highway will be closed.
  • 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday through Wednesday: Westbound lanes will be closed between 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured to eastbound lanes.

Waipahu Depot Road to Mokuola Street

  • 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Inside lanes of the highway will be closed.
  • 7 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday through Wednesday: Westbound lanes will be closed, traffic will be detoured to Hikimoe Street.

Paiwa Street to Kahualii Street

  • Intersection at Kahualii will be closed between 8:30-3:30 p.m. Monday. Traffic will be detoured to Paiwa. Only eastbound and westbound traffic permitted at Kahualii. Right turns will remain open.
  • Left turns will be restricted from the highway westbound to Waipio Point Access Road from 9 a.m.-5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Eastbound lanes will be closed between 7 p.m.-5 a.m.

— KAHEKILI HIGHWAY —

KANEOHE
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Alternating right lane closure in both directions between Likelike Highway and Kamehameha Highway for utility installations.

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

AINA HAINA TO HAWAII KAI
9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Right lane closures in the westbound direction between Keahole Street and West Hind Drive for sign installation work as part of the Kalanianaole Highway Resurfacing project.

9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Turn pocket closures in both directions between Lunalilo Home Road and West Hind Drive for pavement striping and intersection work as part of the Kalanianaole Highway Resurfacing project.

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

AIEA/ALOHA STADIUM
For the rail project:

Lipoa Place to Pali Momi Street

  • Two westbound lanes of the highway closed between 8 p.m.-7 a.m. with various left turn restrictions.
  • Two eastbound lanes closed between 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m.

Pali Momi Street to Honomanu Street

  • Two westbound lanes of the highway will be closed between 8 p.m.-7 a.m.
  • Two eastbound lanes closed between 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m. Various left turn pocket restrictions will be in place.

Honomanu Street to Salt Lake Blvd.

  • Highway westbound on-ramp to the Moanalua Freeway will be closed between 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday.
  • Up to three westbound lanes of the highway closed between 8 p.m.-7 a.m. Various left turn restrictions in place.
  • Two eastbound lanes closed between 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m.
  • Up to three westbound lanes of Salt Lake Blvd. will be closed between 8 p.m.-7 a.m.
  • Eastbound lanes of the highway will be crossed over to the westbound lanes between 8 p.m.-5:30 a.m.

PEARL HARBOR/AIRPORT
Monday through Wednesday lane closures for the rail project.

Kamehameha Highway from Center Drive to Radford Drive

  • Two westbound lanes closed between 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m., right turn allowed at intersection.
  • Right turn only lane may be closed between 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
  • Left turn only lane into Makalapa Gate is contraflowed in the eastbound direction between 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Kamehameha Highway from Radford Drive to Halawa Drive

  • Two lanes of the highway may be closed between 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. with traffic contraflowed to the eastbound lane just beyond the Radford intersection.
  • One lane of the highway closed between 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
  • Westbound bus stop temporarily relocated between 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Kamehameha Highway from Ford Island Bridge to Arizona Memorial Place

  • One eastbound lane of the highway may be closed between 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Kamehameha Highway from Arizona Memorial Place to Arizona Street

  • One eastbound lane of the highway closed between 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Kamehameha Highway from Arizona Street to Makalapa Road/Gate

  • Two eastbound lanes of the highway closed between 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Kamehameha Highway from Makalapa Road to Center Drive

  • One eastbound lane closed between 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
  • Eastbound bus stop at Kamehameha Highway and Makalapa Road may be temporarily relocated to mid-block between 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Makai Frontage Road (off-ramp) from Kamehameha Highway/Plantation Drive to Valkenburgh Street, and from Hickam AFB to H-1 Freeway On-Ramp

  • Single eastbound lane approaching H-1/Nimitz closed between 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
  • Single eastbound right lane approaching Hickam AFB may be closed between 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Aolele Street from Aolewa Place to Lagoon Drive

  • One westbound lane closed between 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

HAUULA
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Lane closure in both directions between Kahana Valley Road and Imua Place for utility installations.

HAUULA TO KAAAWA
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday: Lane closure in the southbound direction between Kahikole Place and Pohuehue Road for pavement resurfacing.

KAAAWA
8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Lane closure in the southbound direction between Lihimauna Road and Johnson Road for utility replacements.

MILILANI
8:30 p.m.-4:30 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday morning: All lanes closed in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue for road striping, shoulder improvements, and guardrail work. General traffic will be re-routed for access to Kamehameha Highway via Waipio Uka Street, Ka Uka Boulevard, the H-2 Freeway, Lanikuhana Avenue, Meheula Parkway, and Kuahelani Avenue. Local traffic access for Kipapa Gulch residents has been coordinated to be escorted through the project site as needed. Advisory message boards have been placed near Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue with the work schedule.

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Lane closures in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Waihau Street for guardrail and pavement striping installations. One lane in both directions will be open for motorists at all times. Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and use alternate roadways such as Kuahelani Avenue, Meheula Parkway, Lanikuhana Avenue, Ka Uka Boulevard and the H-2 Freeway.

PEARL CITY TO AIEA 
For the rail project:

Waiawa Road to Acacia Road

  • One straight-through eastbound lane of the highway closed 24/7.
  • One westbound lane of the highway closed between 8 p.m.-7 a.m.
  • Two westbound left turn lanes and a single inside lane westbound will be closed 24/7. Two through lanes will remain open and one left turn lane into the Home Depot parking lot will be open beginning Wednesday and through the Thanksgiving holiday.

Acacia Road to Waimano Home Road

  • One straight-through lane of the highway in both directions and one left-turn lane in each direction onto Waimano Home Road and Lehua Avenue closed 24/7.
  • One eastbound lane of the highway closed between 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m.
  • One westbound lane of the highway closed between 8 p.m.-7 a.m. with various left turn restrictions.

Waimano Home Road to Puu Momi Street

  • Inside eastbound lane of the highway closed 24/7.
  • Two eastbound lanes will remain open during peak travel times.
  • 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m. Monday through Friday: One eastbound lane of the highway will be closed.
  • 8 p.m.-7 a.m. Monday through Friday: Two westbound lanes of the highway will be closed. Various left-turn pocket restrictions will be in place.

Puu Momi Street to Puu Poni Street

  • Inside eastbound lane of the highway closed 24/7 with various left turn restrictions.
  • Two eastbound and two westbound lanes will remain open during peak travel times.

Puu Poni Street to Kuleana Road

  • Inside eastbound lane of the highway closed 24/7 through mid-2016 for column foundation work.
  • One westbound lane closed between 8 p.m.-7 a.m. with various left turn restrictions.
  • One eastbound lane closed between 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m.
  • Left turn at Kuleana is closed. Motorists will be detoured to Kaahumanu Street.
  • One westbound lane closed between 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Kuleana Road to Kaonohi Street

  • One inside lane of the highway eastbound and one inside lane westbound will be closed 24/7 between Kuleana Road and Kaahumanu Street with various left turn restrictions.
  • Left turn westbound at Kaluamoi Place will be closed. Westbound motorists will be detoured to Kuleana Road. Eastbound motorists will be detoured to Kaahumanu Street.
  • One left turn eastbound at Kaahumanu Street will be temporarily closed.
  • One eastbound lane of the highway will be closed between 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m.
  • One westbound lane will be closed between 8 p.m.-7 a.m. with various left turn restrictions.

Kanuku Street to Kaonohi Street

  • One inside lane of the highway eastbound and one inside lane westbound will be closed 24/7 with various left turn restrictions.

WAHIAWA
9 p.m.-4 a.m. Monday and Tuesday: Bridge closure in both directions between Whitmore Avenue and Kilani Avenue for bridge repairs.

WAIKANE
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Alternating lane closure in both directions between Waiahole Valley Road and Kahekili Highway for utility installations.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

HONOLULU
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Right lane closed in the eastbound direction between Kukahi Street and Nuuanu Avenue for concrete pours.

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Right lane closed in the westbound direction between Maunakea Street and Kekaulike Street for utility repairs.

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and 8 p.m.-3 a.m. Monday through Wednesday: Left lane closure in the eastbound direction between Alakawa Street and Pacific Street for sewer work.

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY MAKAI FRONTAGE ROAD —

PEARL HARBOR
8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Single lane closure in the eastbound direction between Center Drive and Valkenburgh Street for the rail project.

— ALA MOANA BOULEVARD —

Now through 2 p.m. Sunday: Right lane closed in the westbound direction between Piikoi Street and Queen Street for sewer maintenance.

8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and 8 p.m.-3 a.m.: Lane closure in both directions between Cooke Street and Punchbowl Street for sewer work.

— VINEYARD BOULEVARD —

HONOLULU
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday: Roving single lane closures in both directions between Palama Street and the eastbound H-1 Freeway On-Ramp for road repairs and landscape maintenance.

— LILIHA STREET —

HONOLULU
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday: Right lane closure in the northbound direction between North King Street and Vineyard Boulevard for sidewalk reconstruction and bus shelter work.

— MIDDLE STREET —

KALIHI
7 p.m.-4 a.m. Monday through Wednesday morning: Alternating lane closure in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. There will also be a 24/7 southbound median lane closure and sidewalk closure on the west side of Middle Street. Signage will be posted instructing pedestrians to use the east sidewalk.
