N. King Street remains contraflowed in Kalihi as Board of Water Supply crews continue repairs on a water main.
Work is expected to be completed sometime Wednesday night.
The 8-inch main broke at around 8:15 a.m. at 1101 N. King Street, near the intersection of Kohou Street.
Its age was not recorded, BWS said.
Both Koko-Head-bound lanes are closed and, for now, police are contraflowing one of the Ewa-bound lanes.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and find an alternate route.
More than 20 customers lost water service. A water wagon is positioned on King Street near Morris Lane.
