Board of Water Supply crews are working to repair a broken 16-inch water main in Kalihi.
The incident was reported just before 2 a.m. Thursday near North School Street and Kamehameha IV Road.
Police have reopened the eastbound direction of North School Street from Hauiki Street to Kamehameha IV road. The westbound direction of North School Street is being contraflowed at Kamehameha IV Road and Ahonui Street.
According to BWS officials, about 26 homes and businesses are without water.
BWS officials say repair work is expected to continue through the day.
The broken 16-inch main was installed in 1927.
