The Hickam Teen Center at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam will participate in 2014 Operation Mega-phone, an annual joint service event designed to connect military teens from around the world.
The lock-in will start at 7:30 p.m. April 25 and end at 7:30 a.m. April 26. The cost is $25 per teen or $20 with a Food Bank donation.
Activities will include bowling, food, a photo booth and games. Prizes will be given to new friends and their sponsors. Teens bringing a new friend will need to pick up a sponsorship form from the teen center.
Teens are encouraged to communicate with others worldwide and discuss issues affecting military teens through virtual connection and social media.
Operation Megaphone 2014′s slogan is “Get the Word Out.” More than 4,000 participants are expected to participate worldwide. The center is encouraging members to bring a new friend to the lock-in. They have set their own goal of having at least 100 teens participate.
