Information, Tickets & Travel’s (ITT) Hickam Historical Tour takes patrons on a journey to remember the history of Hickam during the World War II attack on Dec. 7, 1941. But on Dec. 6, the tour will have added meaning and emotion.
Retired Tech Sgt. Derwood Swanson will be a special guest aboard the trolley throughout the tour. This will be an opportunity to meet and hear the stories of a war survivor as he recalls that infamous day. Swanson served as a security police officer in the motorcycle unit at the time of the attack, and is making his first memorial appearance since the attack.
The tour will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is limited to 30 customers. The price is $45 for adults, and $40 for children ages 3-11 years and includes lunch. For more information, call the Hickam ITT office at 448-2295 for more information. Due to the nature of the tour, it is not recommended for children under 6 years old.
